Website Redesign Coaching for New LSNTAP Site
The Legal Services National Technology Assistance Project (LSNTAP) helps nonprofit legal aid organizations improve client services through the effective and innovative use of technology by providing training, maintaining resources, creating online tools, and hosting community forums.
When LSNTAP set out to redesign their website for the first time in many years, they were a small team with big ambitions—eager to avoid pitfalls, build internal capacity, and ensure the new site would better serve legal aid programs across the country.
I met with them weekly to clarify priorities, bridge communication with the development firm, and help guide the project from early planning through launch. The resulting website not only delivered on the original vision, on budget, but includes an expanded set of features designed to meet the diverse needs of their audience.
Understanding Process and Decisions
I helped LSNTAP understand the steps, stages, and key decision points in the redesign process, providing clarity and confidence as they navigated each phase.
Requirements Definition
Together, we developed a detailed requirements document that translated LSNTAP’s goals into clear expectations—filling gaps between what had been outlined internally and the specifications the development firm wanted.
Development Firm Management
I joined meetings with the development team to help interpret their recommendations, ask critical questions, and advocate for LSNTAP’s interests.
Enhanced Features and Capabilities
The new site launched with a robust set of features—surpassing what was committed to in the Scope of Work—and is now well positioned to deliver accessible, up-to-date tools and resources.
Quick Website Coaching for National Health Equity Lab
In three collaborative calls, I helped BARHAII reimagine their single-page website to showcase their health equity work more clearly, all while keeping the process manageable for their small team. The updated section will help grow their online presence, make the concept of health equity easier for their visitors to understand, drive more course sign-ups, and strengthen their impact in the field.
Strategic Consulting and Coaching for Online Legal Resources
Through a flexible, as-needed engagement, I’ve been coaching Oregon Law Help as they strengthen their online legal resources and internal processes. I guided their team through their first round of user testing, building skills they now use independently. Our work has also included defining meaningful metrics and refining how articles are structured, making them clearer for users and improving SEO. These efforts are expanding the reach and clarity of their essential civil legal information.
Coaching for a New Virginia Civil Legal Aid Site
I’ve been providing coaching to the Virginia Poverty Law Center as they build a new statewide civil legal aid site to help residents find reliable information on family, housing, and consumer law. Through weekly calls, I’ve supported stakeholder interviews to build buy-in across Virginia organizations, helped define the strategy team and overall direction, and advised on the selection of the platform and development firm. The site is on track for an on-schedule, under-budget launch by the end of 2025.
Additional Nonprofits I’ve Supported
Let’s work together
I’m always eager to talk with organizations about what’s possible for their websites and how to make it happen. If you’d like practical, hourly advice to help you move forward—whether you’re planning a new site, managing an existing one, or tackling a specific challenge—I’m here to help. A half-hour call (with no sales pitch) is always free.
What does it cost?
I typically offer coaching on a sliding scale from $100–$150 per hour, depending on your organization’s size. Typically, supporting a website redesign takes about 4–6 hours of support per month.
If you’re redesigning your website over the course of, say, six months, an investment of around $3,600 in coaching can sometimes save you money—by reducing misunderstandings, avoiding delays, and helping you stay on budget.
I’m happy to create a flat-fee quote tailored to your project. And if you’d just like to talk something through, a half-hour call (no sales pitch) us always free. Get in touch to set up a time
